Nestled in the rolling hills of East Tennessee, The Kitchen At Grace Meadows Farm offers a dining experience deeply rooted in the philosophy of farm-to-table freshness. Located at 170 John France Rd, Jonesborough, TN 37659, United States, this establishment is more than just a restaurant; it is a celebration of local agriculture and culinary craftsmanship. The setting itself speaks volumes, providing a serene backdrop that complements the honest, vibrant flavors presented on every plate. Our commitment begins right where the food is grown—on the fertile grounds of Grace Meadows Farm—ensuring that the journey from soil to supper is as short and transparent as possible.
In an era where traceability matters, The Kitchen At Grace Meadows Farm stands as a beacon of genuine local sourcing. We believe that the finest ingredients require minimal intervention, allowing the natural quality of the produce, meats, and dairy to shine through. This dedication to purity shapes our entire menu, which evolves seasonally to reflect the best bounty the Tennessee landscape has to offer at any given time. Guests are invited to savor dishes that tell a story—a story of dedicated farming, careful preparation, and a deep respect for the natural cycle of the seasons.
The atmosphere balances rustic charm with refined service. While the environment is inherently relaxed, reflecting the peaceful nature of the farm, the culinary execution is precise and thoughtful. We aim to create memorable moments where conversation flows as easily as the locally sourced beverages, all while enjoying food that nourishes both body and soul. It is an invitation to slow down, connect with your food source, and appreciate the artistry involved in transforming simple, high-quality ingredients into extraordinary meals.
Key Highlights of the Dining Experience
Understanding what sets The Kitchen At Grace Meadows Farm apart requires looking closely at the core principles that guide our operations. These elements combine to create a unique and highly satisfying culinary destination:
Unwavering Commitment to Local Sourcing: Our primary distinction lies in our direct relationship with Grace Meadows Farm and other trusted regional producers. This proximity ensures peak freshness and supports the sustainability of the local agricultural community. Every dish reflects the current harvest, meaning the menu is a dynamic reflection of what is truly in season, offering patrons the freshest possible taste of Tennessee.
Seasonal and Evolving Menu Philosophy: We reject the static menu in favor of one that breathes with the seasons. This approach not only guarantees superior ingredient quality but also encourages culinary creativity. Chefs work closely with the farm to anticipate yields, resulting in innovative preparations that highlight the inherent characteristics of the freshest vegetables, herbs, and proteins available that week.
Authentic Farm-to-Table Narrative: Dining here is an immersive experience in the farm-to-table movement. We strive for complete transparency regarding where our food originates. This narrative builds trust and allows diners to feel connected to the land and the hard work that goes into producing exceptional food, moving beyond mere marketing to genuine practice.
A Setting of Tranquil Beauty: The physical location in Jonesborough provides an escape from the everyday hustle. The ambiance is intentionally crafted to be calming and restorative, allowing the focus to remain squarely on the quality of the company and the food. The pastoral views serve as a constant, gentle reminder of the natural origins of the meal being enjoyed.
These pillars—freshness, seasonality, transparency, and setting—are interwoven into the fabric of The Kitchen At Grace Meadows Farm. They define our identity and dictate the high standards we uphold for every plate served.
Savoring the Essence of Tennessee
The Kitchen At Grace Meadows Farm represents a convergence of passion, place, and palate. It is a destination for those who seek culinary integrity, valuing flavor derived from healthy soil and thoughtful preparation over industrial efficiency. We invite you to experience the difference that true freshness makes—the vibrant snap of just-picked greens, the deep flavor of pasture-raised meats, and the subtle sweetness of sun-ripened vegetables.
Whether you are a local resident seeking a reliable source of exceptional regional cuisine or a visitor exploring the charm of Jonesborough, we look forward to welcoming you to our table. Come and taste the commitment we have to our land, our community, and the art of honest cooking. The experience here is designed to be nourishing, memorable, and deeply connected to the heart of Tennessee agriculture.

Beautifully landscaped grounds, including a pond, that you're welcome to walk over and enjoy.
Dining area a very large open space with tables properly spaced apart.
Nice little gift section to browse through.
Server was prompt with service & very friendly.
Loved the atmosphere & food was delicious as well as affordable.
I had the sausage (spicy & delicious) scrambled eggs, grits & homemade biscuits.
Plan on making this my go-to spot anytime family comes to town!

If the atmosphere isn't amazing enough, the food will knock your socks off. Met my childhood friends before leaving the country and it was the perfect visit for conversation, pictures and our meal. So many wonderful photos ops. Loved this place! Stop by if you get a chance. More

Great place to eat. The food is outstanding, endless truly means endless, the only thing that sucks is they don't allow taking leftovers home. Atmosphere is amazing. Staff are always running around and drink refills can occasionally take too long. More

We always love the fried chicken, if you don't like breast meat like my friend and me, you can ask for just drumsticks. The new steamed broccoli was delicious, it was so fresh and light with all the heavier foods. Tried the new blueberry pie this time and it was probably the best dessert I've had there, so far! More

Absolutely phenomenal food, service and atmosphere and beath taking scenery. My family recently visited The Kitchen at Grace Meadows for my sisters birthday and had an absolutely fabulous dinner. The waitress was very on point, serving her birthday cake flawlessly. We had the family style meal, with each dish just as amazing as the next with an excellent desert finish!

We recently hosted a corporate event at The Kitchen at Grace Meadows Farm, and every aspect exceeded our expectations. From the very beginning, the planning process was seamless. The staff was not only professional and accommodating but also incredibly kind, attentive, and detail-oriented. They went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect.
The food was absolutely phenomenal — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Our guests are still raving about the meal! Whether it was the vegetables, the BEST fried chicken, white fish, pulled pork, the ROLLS, or desserts, everything was crafted with care and served with Southern hospitality.
The venue itself is charming and welcoming, providing the perfect backdrop for a memorable event. It was clear that the team truly cares about the experience they provide.
We couldn’t have asked for a better place to host our event and we will absolutely be back. Highly recommend for any private or corporate gathering — you won’t be disappointed!

Atmosphere is institutional farm. White wood slatted walls, wood floor, and wooden tables and chairs. Don't think Cracker Barrel - the Kitchen doesn't look like Minnie Pearl blew up in it. It's clean and comfortable in a utilitarian sense. The service was attentive, courteous, and accurate. The food is served family style. Your table chooses two meats and for sides and the food is served in common serving bowls. Refills on the meat and sides are free. Each person also gets a dessert. No to-go boxes are allowed except for the desert. The price is $22 a person.
The food is ample on the first serving. We didn't finish all of ours. The food flavor is sometimes lacking. We enjoyed the fried chicken. It was crispy and flavorful. The pot roast however, was bland. Putting the gravy on it (the gravy was flavorful) didn't help the roast itself. Perhaps it had been in the pot boiling too long. Whatever, I can't recommend the roast. The iced tea was good.
The green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, mac and cheese, and the sweet creamed corn were all good. The blueberry pie portion seemed small given the sizes of the sides. The ice cream was tasty.
Would we go back? Probably but there are other places we want to explore.

Farm to table, family style dining or by plate, you are not leaving hungry. I haven't had food this good since my grandma's kitchen. Everything is perfect! The yeast rolls are light, warm and good with or without butter. Multiple meat options, sides and desserts. Bright dining room with large windows to enjoy the view, and the friendliest staff you could ask for. Just go.

My husband and I are from Louisville, Tn and are celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary. We decided we wanted to go to a small town not too far away for a weekend getaway so we chose Jonesboro and we found the Kitchen at Grace Meadows and boy was it the right choice! We had the sweetest waiter (I’m so sorry I forgot his name but he told us he was 23 and will be celebrating his 3rd anniversary in February). He was very attentive. The food came out quick and so very delicious. We could not have had a better anniversary dinner anywhere! Absolutely loved it!
